Revolutionary application enables consumers to order to-go meals
directly
from their iPhones and BlackBerry devices
Raleigh, NC – August 18, 2009 - Pogo Corporation announced today that “MobiDines”, its innovative
and revolutionary technology that enables restaurants to
interact with consumers by allowing them to order to-go items directly from
their mobile phones as well as receive specials and promos, is now available for
free download on Apple’s iTunes and also on Blackberry devices.
“Now consumers can download iMobidines directly to their iPhones and begin
ordering to-go items from their favorite restaurants without having to launch a
web browser,” said CEO and Co-Founder Juan Marti. “In addition, guests can
receive specials from their favorite restaurants and give their feedback via
surveys. The process is quite simple. The
consumer downloads the MobiDines application directly to their iPhone and then
enters the channel codes that are specific to their favorite restaurants.”
While online ordering technology currently exists, MobiDines takes
restaurant/consumer interaction to the next level by skipping the web browser
all together and placing a restaurant’s branded presence directly onto the
consumer’s mobile phone.
"One of the revolutionary aspects of MobiDines is the capability to provide
hundreds of thousands of restaurants a fully customized, mobile
solution directly on their guests’ cellular phones with a simple enrollment
process." said Andy Farrell, President and Cofounder of Pogo Corporation. "A
common theme with many successful restaurants involves establishing a branded
presence with their customers in the local area, and MobiDines provides a
previously unavailable venue to expand a restaurant's consumer interaction and
awareness by leveraging our emerging technology platform on their phones."
Not only does MobiDines provide restaurants with the opportunity to interact
remotely with their guests, it also allows them to more effectively manage their
own to go order processes. Orders come directly to the restaurant with no phone
calls required, enabling restaurant personnel to spend more time handling other
tasks. MobiDines is currently available in multiple languages
worldwide.
